Whether you’re making homemade ranch dressing or seasoning up some meat or veggies, ready-made ranch seasoning is a fantastic thing to have on hand. The problem is that store-bought ranch packets are often full of undesirables. In fact, the first ingredient in some varieties is monosodium glutamate, or MSG. This controversial flavor enhancer can make almost anything tasty and addictive, but is a known migraine trigger for many and may cause a whole host of other problems.

Fortunately, making your own ranch seasoning is easy-peasy--no artificial enhancers required!

Here are some of our favorite ways to use this mix:

  • Mix with coconut milk, paleo mayo, and a splash of lemon juice to make paleo ranch dressing or dip.

  • Sprinkle over sweet potato fries before baking.

  • Mix into beaten eggs before scrambling.

  • Mix into eggs thinned with coconut milk and pour over layers of potato, chopped chicken, diced bacon, and finely chopped spinach to make a yummy chicken-bacon-ranch casserole.
